By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

In partnership with Sanadak in Jordan, the Jordan Wells of Hope in Jordan--which is an offshoot of Talita Kum in Rome—has held a training session on “care for oneself and caring for others” for teachers of the Latin School of Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali and a group of the third cohort of the Springs of Hope initiative.

Within the framework of promoting the concepts of psychological support and mental health for caregivers, a specialized training was conducted for teachers at Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali Latin School, with the participation of a group of Ambassadors of Hope. The training course was conducted in partnership with the Sanadak, the Wells of Hope Initiative, and Al-Hashemi Al-Shamali Latin School.

The training session titled, "Care for oneself and caring for others," focused on empowering participating teachers and students with practical skills and tools to care for themselves and others. This measure fosters a healthy and psychologically balanced work environment and positively impacts both professional performance and personal life.

This activity is part of the core mission of  Sanadak and the Wells of Hope Initiative in Jordan, which is designed to provide psychological support to caregivers in various settings and in various forms. This stems from the belief in the importance of empowering them and promoting their mental health, as they constitute the backbone of community and educational work, as well as protecting against the scourge of human trafficking in the future. It also aligns with the vision of preparing generations of young people to become effective, proactive, and empowered members of their communities.

The training session was highly interactive among attendees, with participants expressing their appreciation for the importance of the topics presented, as well as their direct impact on their daily lives. They also demonstrated a willingness to apply what they learned within their educational and social contexts.

In this context, Sanadk has extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to Sister Cecile Hijazin, the official in charge of Wells of Hope in Jordan, for her continuous support and valuable efforts by making this training session a success, and for her unwavering commitment to building effective partnerships that support educational and psychological work. Appreciation was also extended to Hashemi Al-Shamali Latin School Director Dr. Lana Dababneh for her distinguished efforts and continuous cooperation in creating a suitable environment for the training session, her constant contribution to supporting the school's staff, and for enhancing their mental health. Appreciation was also extended to Ambassadors of Hope officials, including Deputy Director Lana Ma'ayah as well as teachers Kathrin and Rita Hijazin.

It is worth noting that this training session embodies a successful model of constructive cooperation between educational and community institutions, and reflects a shared commitment to promoting safe and psychologically supportive learning environments that contribute to improving the quality of education and mental health,

At the end of the lecture, school principal Dr. Lana Dababneh, thanked Dr. Nisreen Hawatmeh for her distinguished efforts and continuous cooperation in supporting our educational institutions and raising awareness among our students against the scourge of human trafficking.
