The Jordanian Campaign in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), has distributed thousands of hot meals to families affected by the ongoing Israeli war across the Strip’s governorates.

 As part of the “Jordanian Kitchen” initiative, the campaign has continued to deliver food aid to various areas in the north, centre, and south of the besieged enclave. The initiative reflects Jordan’s sustained efforts to support Palestinians facing worsening humanitarian conditions due to the war and blockade, Al Mamalaka TV reported.

Additionally, JHCO has launched a daily bakery in southern Gaza, in cooperation with the Jordanian aid campaign, to provide bread to displaced Palestinians amid border closures, acute flour shortages, and soaring food prices. The organisation said the bakery produces between 35,000 and 40,000 loaves of bread daily, benefiting thousands of displaced families as part of Jordan’s broader humanitarian assistance to Gaza by land and air.

Jordan’s humanitarian response also includes the “Restoring Hope” initiative, launched in September 2024 under Royal directives. The programme aims to provide prosthetic limbs to individuals who have lost limbs as a result of the war. It is a collaborative effort involving the Royal Medical Services, the “Hakeem” programme by Electronic Health Solutions, and JHCO.

Jordan also operates two military field hospitals in Gaza. The first, located in the northern part of the Strip, was established in 2009 following the 2008 conflict. The second was set up in Khan Younis, in the south, in November 2023 at the height of the Israeli war on the coastal enclave that began on October 7, 2023.
