On December 25, the entire world marks the birth of Lord Jesus Christ, whose divinity and humanity has always been nonpareil, unique, as it emanates grandeur and glory.
The birth of Lord Jesus Christ marked the start of a radical change in humanity for "a savior" was born who would cleanse people from their sins and give them eternal life.
The Holy Bible related the birth of Jesus saying, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in Her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” (Mathew 1:20-21)
The Old Testament abounds with verses that glorify the birth of the Savior. The most outstanding verse is this:
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah: 9:6)
WHY WAS LORD JESUS CHRIST BORN?
With Satan's deception of Adam and Eve, there was an exigent need for a savior who would nullify the deeds of Satan. So Jesus come to Earth and allowed Himself to be sacrificed to save mankind from sins and ensure them eternal life. Furthermore, with the birth of Lord Jesus, God wanted to reveal His own character to humanity which is manifested in love for His creatures and willingness to ensure their salvation by enjoying eternal life.
The entire humanity needs a redeemer so as to be exonerated from the burdens of sins and wrongdoings. The salvation of mankind was dependent on Lord Jesus coming to Earth and living a perfect life, then dying as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.
So Jesus had to be born because He is our Redeemer. God in His infinite mercy foreordained His plan of redemption for sinful mankind through Christ. Jesus was declared to be "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" to redeem humanity as mentioned in Revelation 13:8.
Lord Jesus was an expression of love. With love all problems could be eliminated and peace would prevail. The world needs to remember Lord Jesus' great command that continues to reverberate everywhere by serving as the cornerstone for a better life to humanity. He said, " A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you. (John 13:34)
This divine command ensures peace and prosperity to the entire humanity. With the birth of Lord Jesus, peace was born, love was born, tolerance was born, and ultimately eternal life was guaranteed.
Have a merry Christmas with the Prance of Peace, Lord Jesus Christ.
