Radio Maria Belgium: New studios in Tienen, at the heart of a renewed mission

radiomaria.org :

After almost 15 years in the city of Leuven, Radio Maria Belgium has begun the transfer of its studios to Tienen, which is also located in Flanders, in the monastery of the Passionist Sisters. This is an important step that goes beyond logistics and takes on strong symbolic value for the life and mission of the Radio.

Tienen is a smaller city, located in a region deeply shaped by the history of Christianity but today, like much of Belgium, marked by an increasingly evident process of secularization. In this context, the decision to settle in a place of religious life takes on a particular significance.

The new site, bigger and more welcoming than the previous one, will make it possible to better host volunteers, collaborators, and priests involved in the programming and daily activities of the radio. Central to the structure is the presence of the chapel, the true spiritual heart of the project, which powerfully recalls the identity of Radio Maria as a work of evangelization even before being a means of communication.

The move to Tienen thus marks the beginning of a new phase for Radio Maria Belgium, called to continue its mission in Flanders as a voice of faith and hope, capable of reaching even those who are furthest away and of offering a stable point of reference in today’s Europe, increasingly in need of spiritual roots.
