As part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of Radio Maria in Peru, the first pilgrimage took place to one of the sanctuaries designated as a Jubilee temple for the Year of Jubilee 2025.

The pilgrimage began in front of the Basilica of the Holy Rosary (church of Santo Domingo), where those present, including listeners and friends of the radio station, gathered to participate in a conference on the history of the Dominican Church and the Order of Preachers in Peru, held by Radio Maria collaborator Lino Rodríguez. At the end of the conference the pilgrims made a short visit to the church, where they were able to contemplate the image of Our Lady of the Rosary and the altarpiece of the Peruvian Saints, with particular emphasis on the homage to Saint Rose of Lima. The pilgrimage to the sanctuary was led by the promotion team and volunteers of Radio Maria, who fervently led the prayer of the Holy Rosary.

Upon arriving at the sanctuary of Santa Rosa da Lima, where the Holy Door is located, Father Roberto Higinio, host of the “Moments of Faith” programme, briefly explained the meaning of the grace of plenary indulgence that the pilgrims would receive in this Jubilee Year. The Holy Mass was presided by Father Higinio, who stressed the importance of living this Jubilee Year in a meaningful way. Before the end of the Holy Mass, Father Higinio led the prayers necessary to obtain plenary indulgence.
