On Wednesday, 14 May 2025, Bethlehem University gathered as a community to celebrate De La Salle Day, a cherished annual tradition honoring Saint John Baptist de La Salle—the founder of the De La Salle Christian Brothers and patron saint of educators worldwide.
The day began with a solemn memorial Mass at the Chapel of the Divine Child on campus. Faculty, staff, and administration came together in prayer and reflection. A special highlight of the celebration was the renewal of vows by the De La Salle Brothers, who reaffirmed their lifelong commitment to the Lasallian mission of education, service, and justice.
Following the Mass, Brother Peter Iorlano, Vice President for Human Resources, led a recognition ceremony to honor retired employees and those marking significant service milestones—from five to forty-five years of dedication to Bethlehem University. These tokens of appreciation reflected the University’s deep gratitude for the unwavering commitment and contributions of its staff throughout the years.
Since its founding in 1973, Bethlehem University has proudly upheld the Lasallian tradition of providing quality education rooted in compassion, integrity, and community. De La Salle Day continues to serve as a powerful reminder of this mission and the vital role every member of the university community plays in advancing it.
