On June 4, 2026, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, presided over the solemn Mass for the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ in front of the Holy Sepulcher, with the participation of bishops, priests, and faithful.
The celebration was followed by the Eucharistic procession with the Blessed Sacrament.
In his homily, His Beatitude emphasized that the Eucharist is the living presence of Christ, who gives life to the world and transforms the lives of believers from within.
He stated: “Receiving the Eucharist is not simply a devout act; it is welcoming the life of Christ into ourselves. And once received, this life does not remain still.” Noting that those who are nourished by Christ are called to bring this life to others, becoming witnesses of love and hope in our world today.
