Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader received Dr. Veronika Ertl, director of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) office in Jordan, on her first introductory visit to the CCSM in Amman.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the CCSM and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, particularly in the organization of conferences, seminars, and intellectual and dialogue-oriented events planned for this year and the next.

Both parties emphasized the importance of continuing the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions, which dates back more than ten years, since the establishment of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Amman. This partnership has resulted in numerous activities and programs addressing issues of dialogue, common living, citizenship, and mutual understanding among cultures and religions, as well as supporting youth and intellectual initiatives.

The meeting also reaffirmed the commitment to further joint efforts in promoting openness, dialogue, and cooperation among the various components of Jordanian society.

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung office is considered one of the most distinguished German institutions operating in Jordan. It plays an active role in cultural, intellectual, and developmental fields, with a particular focus on empowering young people, encouraging their participation in public life, and fostering cultural exchange and dialogue between Jordan and Germany.

Dr. Veronika Ertl assumed her position as director of the Foundation’s office in Jordan at the beginning of 2026, succeeding Dr. Edmund Ratka, who led the office for four years and contributed significantly to strengthening cooperation with numerous academic, cultural, and civil society institutions across the Kingdom.
