Jordan: Our Lady of Peace Center conducts thaumaturgic efforts in serving local community
With  the OLOPC awarded the National Gold Accreditation by the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, this provides cogent evidence of its noble services that reach all sectors of society, and disseminates an aroma of amaranthine mercy that replaces pain with joy and washes away the tears of the suffering.

It has been a source of pride and jubilation to note that Jordan's Latin Patriarchate institution-- that was established as a place of hope and support--namely Our Lady of Peace Center (OLOPC) has been awarded the National Gold Accreditation by the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

With a significant recognition of its two-decade-long commitment to the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities, His Royal Highness Prince Mired Ibn Raad, chief secretary and president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, has acknowledged the OLOPC's outstanding compliance with national standards for services offered to individuals with intellectual disabilities and those on the autism spectrum in its capacity as acting with compassion, professionalism, and a profound sense of national and spiritual responsibility.

Marking OLOPC's unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and inclusive care, OLOPC representatives said, "This honor reflects more than just standards—it is a tribute to over 20 years of tireless work and love. We thank the Higher Council for its appreciation of our mission, which has always placed the well-being and rights of people with disabilities at the heart of our work.

Apart from the Catholic Church’s various noble services over the years to alleviate human suffering, it also strived to help heal human diseases and restore a smile to those who lost hope in life. Among the major achievements of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land, with regards to alleviating the suffering of people, has been the launching of OLOPC in Amman. Since its establishment in 2004, OLOPC has been providing free services to people with a variety of disabilities such as intellectual disability, impaired mobility, hearing impairment, bipolar and down-syndrome. It also provides family counseling and education for children with mental and physical disabilities, in addition to a range of services, including specialized daycare, family counseling, and rehabilitation services, free of charge regardless of religious affiliation. The OLOPC 's work reflects a commitment to humanitarian and spiritual needs, promoting inclusivity and understanding within the community.

It is time to pay tribute to this Catholic Vicariate-affiliated institute that serves as a panacea to several ills of society. In this regard, as OLOPC depends greatly on domestic and overseas donations to sustain its work,  it is hoped that such badly needed support would continue at a great pace so that such important and decisive services would continue.

OLOPC is definitely the invaluable gift of the Catholic Church to needed humanity that reflects Divine mercy and love.
