Pope Francis' recovery is a reflection of Divine Mercy

By Munir Bayouk/ en.abouna.org :

The Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) in Jordan expresses jubilation at the news reporting that His Holiness Pope Francis was discharged from hospital after weeks of concern over his health. Throughout the past eight weeks that the Pope spent at Gemelli Hospital, there was an outpouring of prayers for his recovery at various level including personal prayers, prayers of communities, in addition to Eucharistic celebrations.

With the Pope appearing for the first time since his hospitalization from the balcony of Rome's Gemelli Hospital, he imparted his blessing to nearly 3,000 people gathered in the square, yet he did not ignore the ailing world that is groaning under the scourge of wars and violence as he renewed his call for peace, urging an end to violence in Gaza and other conflict zones, while occasionally reiterating that "war is always is a defeat."

Pope Francis, the pope of peace and harmony, has all the time remembered the poor, the needy, and the homeless at a time when doing his best to give them a helping hand. It is worthy to note in this regard that in recent weeks, before his hospitalization at Rome's Gemelli Polyclinic, the Pope donated a million euros to renovate a former clergy house in Rome, which will be converted into 20 apartments for those in need.

With Pope Francis being discharged from the hospital it is important to recall the Biblical verse, "Lord my God, I called to You for help, and You healed me."(Psalm 30:2)

The CCSM offers prayers pleading with Lord Jesus Christ and Blessed Mary to keep Pope Francis in Their care, to give him the strength, and the divine wisdom to continue his mission of serving the Church of the Lord.
