On Monday, January 19, 2025, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Imad Hijazin, patronized the launching ceremony of the Arabic-dubbed version of the internationally acclaimed series “The Chosen” on behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Rym Ali. The event was organized by the Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM) in Amman  in cooperation with the Lighthouse Arab World Foundation, and was attended by a delegation from the series’ production team.

The ceremony was also attended by Lebanese Minister of Information Paul Morcos, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Petra Tourism Development Region Authority Dr. Fares Al-Brayzat, along with members of parliament, ambassadors, church representatives, and media personnel. The program included artistic performances by soprano Zeina Barhoumeh and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Choir accompanied by pianist Grace Abu Daher.

The film “The Chosen” explores Lord Jesus' life and ministry by highlighting the personal stories of His followers and others. It is a highly acclaimed, multi-season historical drama series, uniquely told through the perspectives of the people who met him, like Mary Magdalene and Simon Peter, offering a more intimate and humanized portrayal with deep character development. It is praised for its authentic feel, beautiful cinematography, and personal depiction of Lord Jesus.
