The American University of Madaba (AUM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), marking a significant step toward strengthening collaboration in the field of financial technology (FinTech).

The agreement was signed by AUM President Professor Adi Arida and JoPACC Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Maha Bahou in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions. Through this partnership, AUM students will benefit from specialized programs offered by the JOIN Fincubator, which are designed to foster innovation and develop practical skills in FinTech.

Through this collaboration, students will gain access to a range of initiatives, including research opportunities, innovative project development, training programs, and participation in hackathons. These experiences are designed to enhance their technical expertise, support entrepreneurial initiatives, and prepare them to compete in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

Professor Arida emphasized that the agreement reflects AUM's commitment to building strategic partnerships with leading national institutions, enriching the practical dimension of education, and equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and innovative mindset required to excel in today's workforce.

Mrs. Bahou highlighted JoPACC's commitment to empowering young talent, noting that the JOIN Fincubator was established to nurture entrepreneurial ideas, strengthen technical and professional skills, and connect students with Jordan's growing FinTech ecosystem in alignment with the Kingdom's Economic Modernization Vision.

This MoU underscores the shared commitment of AUM and JoPACC to bridging academia and the FinTech sector, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and providing students with valuable opportunities to transform their ideas into practical solutions that address evolving market needs.
