Bethlehem University celebrated the graduation of the third cohort of the Professional Diploma in Kindergarten Education on Thursday, 2 July 2026. The program is offered in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education and reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing the quality of early childhood education in Palestine.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, members of the Bethlehem University community, kindergarten education supervisors, and the graduates’ families.
This year’s cohort included 53 graduates who successfully completed all program requirements, marking another milestone in the ongoing partnership between Bethlehem University and the Ministry to prepare qualified early childhood educators equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to support young learners.
Representing the ministry were Dr. Mohammad Asakreh, Mr. Ayman Hamamreh, and Ms. Hiyam Abu Mufleh, along with a number of early childhood education supervisors.
The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Fadel Swaifeh, Chairperson of the Early Childhood Education Department. It opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Georgette Rabadi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Education, followed by an address from Dr. Grace Elias, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, on behalf of Bethlehem University. Mr. Ayman Hamamreh delivered remarks on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, while Ms. Safinaz Ajjouri, Kindergarten Education Supervisor, addressed the audience on behalf of the Ministry’s supervisors. The ceremony also featured a speech delivered by one of the graduates.
Adding a festive atmosphere to the celebration, the Aida Refugee Camp Dabkeh Troupe performed traditional Palestinian folkloric dances, highlighting the richness of Palestinian cultural heritage and drawing enthusiastic engagement from the audience.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduates, followed by a reception attended by graduates, their families, and guests.
Through this program, Bethlehem University continues to strengthen its partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in preparing highly qualified kindergarten educators and supporting excellence in early childhood education across Palestine.
