CCSM, Ammon Applied University College sign MoU

Within the framework of the ongoing efforts to consolidate cultural and religious ties, Dean of Ammon Applied University College (AAUC) Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Kurdi welcomed Fr. Dr. Rif’at Bader, director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Media (CCSM), one of Jordan’s most prominent religious and media figures, on Tuesday April 7, 2026. Fr. Bader is a Latin Patriarchate of Jordan priest, and is renowned for his leading role in promoting interfaith dialogue and in spreading a culture of tolerance and peace, in addition to his extensive media presence at the local and international levels.

 

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by AAUC, represented by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Kurdi, and CCSM, represented by Fr. Bader. The agreement outlines ways to enhance mutual cooperation, particularly with regards to upgrading religious tourism and specialized training. Furthermore,  the MoU encourages school and university students to become ambassadors of tolerance in the Jordan of goodness and harmony.

 

During his visit, Fr. Bader toured the college’s facilities and met with several faculty and administrative staff members. Discussions highlighted the importance of fostering plurality and cultural openness within educational environments, as well as the role of academic institutions in shaping a generation capable of engaging positively with diverse segments of society.

 

Fr. Bader expressed his admiration for the progress achieved by AAUC and emphasized the importance of continuing such meetings, which help strengthen communication and cooperation between educational institutions and various components of  society.

 

This visit took place within the framework of a series of activities organized by the AAUC during religious and national anniversaries, aiming at promoting values of fraternity, tolerance, and common living.
